Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his wife Ayoma Rajapaksa left the Bandaranaike International Airport for China this morning.
They left the BIA for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and from there will depart for China, airport sources said.
The couple left on flight MH-178 of Malaysia Airlines at 12.25 am today for Malaysia.
It was reported that they had used the airport air cargo terminal to leave the BIA. (T.K.G. Kapila)
