CIPM and University of Kelaniya MoU to collectively develop HR profession

CIPM Sri Lanka, the nation’s leader in human resource management, entered into a memorandum of understanding recently with the University of Kelaniya, to collectively develop the human resource profession for the benefit of HR professionals, the managerial community and HR students in the country. 
The signing ceremony was held at the Senate House of the University of Kelaniya. 


“We are honoured to collaborate with the University of Kelaniya, which is considered a centre of learning in Sri Lanka, to develop the human resource profession in the country collectively. Our collaboration will help raise the bar for the HR fraternity in Sri Lanka, creating value for all HR professionals, companies and organisations,” said CIPM Sri Lanka CEO U.A.C. Obeyesekere.


Obeysekere, Professional and Academics Affairs Director G. Weerathunga, Head of Business School Anushka Earskin, Head of Finance Wathasla Naddeeshani and Executive  Media and Digital Marketing K. Thiruchelvam represented CIPM Sri Lanka while University of Kelaniya Vice Chancellor Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, Registrar K.K.K. Dharmathilka, Commerce and Management Studies Faculty Dean Dr. P.N.D. Fernando, Commerce and Financial Management Department Head and Senior Lecturer M.M.M. Shamil and academic staff of the Commerce and Management Studies Faculty represented the University of Kelaniya at the ceremony.


It is a body comprising companies such as Amazon, Apple, Booking.com, Expedia Group, Google, GoTo, Grab, LINE, LinkedIn, Meta, Rakuten, X and Yahoo.
