Expressway revenue exceeds Rs. 70 mn on April 15th and 16th

 More than Rs. 70 million in revenue was collected from expressways on April 15th and 16th Road Development Authority (RDA) Project Director L.V. Sardha Weerakoon said.
 He said a total of Rs. 70,558,100 was collected from vehicles that used all expressways on April 15 and 16.


 Accordingly, Rs. 34,974,100 in revenue was collected from 126,760 vehicles that used the expressways on April 15 and Rs. 35,584,000 from 129,465 vehicles that used the expressways on April 16.

 No fatal accidents were reported on the expressways on both days. However, two minor injuries were reported on April 15 and 20 incidents such as causing damages to vehicles and to expressway property.


 Meanwhile, only one minor incident of injury to a person was reported on April 16, along with 24 incidents relating to vehicle and expressway property damages.

 


It is a body comprising companies such as Amazon, Apple, Booking.com, Expedia Group, Google, GoTo, Grab, LINE, LinkedIn, Meta, Rakuten, X and Yahoo.
