Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa should think twice before making remarks and should realize that it is a cruel act not to support the government at this point, UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said yesterday.

“Only those who are cruel refuse to support the government at this point of time to rebuild the country’s economy. Fuel prices, bus fares and gas prices have been reduced. There are no fuel queues nor gas queues. Therefore it is a crime not to support a government which has done all these,” Mr. Range Bandara told a press conference.

He was referring to a remark made by Mr. Premadasa which said his party will never support this government.

Responding to the reports which said President Wickremesinghe is to form a national government in the future, he said the national government is already here as many political groups are already supporting him.

He said the country would face a challenging time ahead and support of all parties are needed to overcome this.

It is a body comprising companies such as Amazon, Apple, Booking.com, Expedia Group, Google, GoTo, Grab, LINE, LinkedIn, Meta, Rakuten, X and Yahoo.
